Science Field Trips

From Mrs. Redel:

I have secured a session for each 5th grade class to have an outreach program with the Botanical Gardens.  The session is:

Amphibian Classification (Grade 5)
Amphibians are a diverse and fascinating animal group. Students explore the world of Amphibians and how they are related to other vertebrate animals by observing live specimens and sorting pictures of animals into groups. (Georgia Performance Standards: S5L1.a)

It will take place on November 21st during each of the student's science rotation.  In order for this to happen, I need for each student to send in $8.00 to me by October 31, 2014.

I have also secured a session for each 5th grade class to have an outreach program with the Chattaahoochee Nature Center.  The session is:

Grade 5: Natural Connections Not all microorganisms are harmful! In this fun program, students examine microorganisms and macroinvertebrates using microscopes and an outdoor activity to learn about their helpful and harmful effects.

It will take place on November 12, 2014 during each of the student's rotation.  In order for this to happen, I need each student to send in $7.00 to me by October 31, 2014.

Thanks for all the support:)

Best Regards,
Kalinda Redel, 5th Grade Teacher
